Dear viewers,

Today is a historic day.

Today we are not simply launching another media channel.

Today we are launching Luca Nakuru TV, an online platform where the youth of Nakuru County can tell their own stories, solve their own challenges, celebrate their own culture, and build their own future.

My name is Esther ...... and I'm the founding member of the Luca Nakuru Youth Council on niko.imara.tv , the world's first youth owned and moderated social media platform for Imara Tv viewers, creators and sponsors to interact directly.

For generations, young people have been told that they are the leaders of tomorrow.
At Imara TV, we believe youth are leaders today.
That belief is the foundation of the GAIA and LUCA governance model.
GAIA represents the continental and global council that provides strategic direction for the entire Imara ecosystem.
LUCA represents local youth councils operating at county, constituency, ward, village, school, campus, and community levels.
Think of GAIA as the brain of the network and LUCA as the hands and feet working directly with communities.
Both councils have the same nine leadership roles because every community deserves balanced leadership.
The nine roles are:
The Scientist, who promotes research, innovation, STEAM education and evidence-based decision making.
The Storyteller, who leads content creation, journalism, film production and community storytelling.
The Guardian, who protects ethics, child safety, community wellbeing and responsible governance.
The Editor, who ensures quality, accuracy and professionalism across all content.
The Teacher, who coordinates learning, mentorship and knowledge sharing.
The Technologist, who develops digital systems, platforms and emerging technologies.
The Treasurer, who oversees resources, transparency and community investments.
The Secretary, who coordinates operations, meetings and records.
The Auditor, who monitors performance, accountability and impact.
Together these roles create a complete youth-led governance structure capable of managing media, education, innovation and community development projects.
Through niko.imara.tv, young people are no longer just consumers of content.
They become creators.
They become educators.
They become entrepreneurs.
They become leaders.
Niko.imara.tv provides opportunities for youth to:
Launch their own television shows.
Publish blogs and articles.
Submit short films and documentaries.
Participate in challenges such as the Cypher Imara Challenge.
Earn recognition and future revenue opportunities.
Build personal brands and audiences.
Learn practical STEAM skills.
Join local LUCA councils and community initiatives.
Collaborate with creators across Kenya and eventually across Africa.
The platform is built around a forever content calendar covering Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.
Every day presents an opportunity to learn.
Every story becomes a classroom.
Every creator becomes a teacher.
Every viewer becomes a future innovator.
Nakuru TV will become our local window into the talent, creativity and innovation of Nakuru County.
We want to showcase our farmers.
Our students.
Our entrepreneurs.
Our artists.
Our inventors.
Our athletes.
Our environmental champions.
Our cultural heritage.
Most importantly, we want to showcase solutions.
As we launch LUCA Nakuru TV today, I invite every young person here to take ownership.
Do not wait for permission to create.
Do not wait for someone else to tell your story.
Do not wait for opportunity.
Create it.
Register on niko.imara.tv.
Join your nearest LUCA.
Start your show.
Submit your films.
Share your ideas.
Lead your community.
Together, we can transform Nakuru into a model for youth-led innovation, education and storytelling.
Together, we can build a future where every young person has a voice, a platform and a pathway to prosperity.
This is our story.
This is our county.
This is our time.
Thank you, and welcome to LUCA Nakuru TV.
